This Somers Point, NJ, Chicken Parm Is Great & Enough For Two
This is one of my favorite chicken parmigiana meals anywhere in Atlantic and Cape May counties.
The Anchorage Tavern — Somers Point, New Jersey
The history is amazing. It is Somers Point, New Jersey’s oldest business establishment since 1874. It initially operated as the Trenton Hotel.
The initial iteration served seasonal guests, who primarily were bird hunters.
It has operated as The Anchorage Tavern since 1988.
Bob Blough Did The Following Review on The Facebook Page — “Jersey Chicken Parm Ratings”
This is a second post of mine for The Anchorage in Somers Point. I'm posting it a second time because I think something has changed. I've always enjoyed their parm, but this is better than their prior dish. I think the chicken is thinner, and the sauce is definitely fresher tasting. I don't usually like to give a number rating, but I would give this a strong 9. For me to give a 10 it would have to be pan fried in olive oil... not deep fried. As always the portion size is crazy, and the linguine side was as just as huge (forgot to photo). It was $24 and I brought home enough for a second meal, wrote Blough.
