Teacher Living in Haddon Twp., NJ, Facing Child Porn-related Charge

A man from Camden County who works as a teacher in South Jersey has been arrested on a child porn-related charge.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says 53-year-old David Checchio of Haddon Township has been charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child as it relates to the possession of child sexual abuse materials.

Authorities say on Tuesday following a collaborative investigation between the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, the Haddon Township Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations, a search warrant was executed Checchio's home.

In a brief press release, authorities did not indicate what, if anything, was discovered there.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
