
Wanted man from Millville, NJ, charged in stabbing at Showboat in Atlantic City
A Millville man has been arrested following a stabbing inside Showboat in Atlantic City Wednesday night.
NY Man Stabbed Inside Showboat in Atlantic City
The Atlantic City Police Department says the scene unfolded around 9:00 at the hotel on the boardwalk.
Arriving officers found a 25-year-old man from Bronx, NY, who was bleeding heavily from a stab wound.
An officer applied a tourniquet and rendered aid before the victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division to be treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
According to police, an investigation revealed that the victim became involved in an altercation with numerous suspects who punched, kicked, and stabbed him.
Marquise Cottman of Millville, NJ, Arrested
Several hours after the incident, ACPD Ofc. William Harned arrested one of the involved suspects, 20-year-old Marquise Cottman of Millville.
Cottman was charged with aggravated assault and he also had a warrant out for his arrest.
Once processed, Cottman was released on a summons with a future court date.
More Arrests Possible
The Atlantic City Police Department says this remains an active investigation and additional arrests are possible.
