Landon Dickerson to Miss Giants’ Game with Thumb Injury
The hits keep on coming for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Starting left guard, Landon Dickerson, will miss this week's game against New York due to thumb surgery. He will be evaluated after that according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
With Dickeraon out, who might step in at left guard might depend on the availability of starting right guard Cam Jurgens.
Jurgens missed the Seahawks game with a pectoral injury, but could return for the Christmas Day game against the Giants.
As for the options, Sua Opera has played left guard in the past and started at right guard with Jurgens out. Rookie Tyler Steen would likely play right guard if Jurgens had to miss the game.
So the injury bug continues to hit the Eagles, and their depth will continue to be a factor woth three regular season games remaining on the schedule.
