5 Local Bands to check out in Atlantic City, NJ, area Memorial Day Weekend
As Memorial Day Weekend hits the Jersey Shore, there are plenty of live and local musical acts you should check out this week to kickoff the summer season at the Shore.
You can usually find some live music most night in Atlantic City at the casinos, but many of the local bars also have live music during the weekend, so lets check out who is playing where, with five must see local bands playing this Memorial Day Weekend.
1. Steal The Sky, The Yard at Bally's Atlantic City, Friday May 24 at 10pm
The Yard has become one of my favorite spots to see live music and Steal the Sky is one of the better acts to see when you can catch them in the area. If you have traveled, you have seen them play up and down the east coast from Key West to Vermont.
They are usually around a lot in the summer, but this is a cool venue to see them play.
2. Isn't It Always Duo, Nola at Ocean Casino in Atlantic City, Saturday May 25 at 7pm
I got a chance to see the full band play after Blink 182 beach concert in Atlantic City and The Yard and have tried to catch them again. Nola is another awesome music venue and these guys put on a good show. I haven't seen the duo, but they are fun and play a lot of emo, punk stuff if that is your style.
3. The Way Outs, LaScala's Beach House in Brigantine, Saturday May 25 at 7pm
Funny, I have been to two other LaScala's locations, but not the newest one in Brigantine. That will change this summer, because I like the two others I have tried in Glassboro and at Cooper River.
The Way Outs are a fun band who are known for wearing their infamous Hawaiian shirts, but they keep the party going with high energy songs.
4. Lost in Paris, Wild Wild West in Atlantic City, Friday May 24 at 10pm
Wild Wild West is another great venue, with a ton of space and Lost in Paris is a really fun bad to see in a place like this. I have seen them play at Nola and they rocked the house with a really good mix of musical genres.
They play a lot over at the Delaware shore, but check them out if you get the chance here in Atlantic City.
5. NC3 at The Rush Lounge at The Golden Nugget in Atlantic City, Saturday May 25 at 5pm
The NC3 or No Clue Trio is a really fun, high energy band band that I saw over at Bocca in Margate and at Vagabond in EHT and really enjoyed the energy they were bringing. They have a good catalog of songs and a fun vibe.
They have a lot of fun and the “Funky Doctor” on guitar is full of energy and a ton of fun to watch play!
