Mainland Regional High School alum Chase Petty, who was a 2021 first-round pick (26th overall) of the Minnesota Twins and later traded to the Cincinnati Reds, is coming home to host a 3-on-3 basketball tournament in Millville.

The event, which is being called "Millville Madness", will be held in Millville on Saturday, Jan 27 with the proceeds going to The Chase Petty Foundation to benefit the community of Millville.

The Millville Madness annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament is our first-ever event to begin raising funds for my hometown of Millville, NJ. I’m hoping everyone in the community can come out and support our mission here.”

Petty pitched in 68 innings in 2023 with a 1.72 ERA, notching 66 strikeouts and a 1.15 WHIP with High-A Dayton. and Double-A Chattanooga.
