The Mainland football season in over.

They Mustangs have been forced to shut down their football program for the next two weeks due to COVID-19, ending their season at 2-4.

The Mustangs were schedule to play Atlantic City and Oakcrest.

Mainland finished their season with a 63-0 loss to Ocean City last Friday night.

The young Mustangs were led by sophomore running back Ja'Briel Mace, freshman quarterback Jake Meyers and sophomore tight end Nick Wagner, who will all return.

Another local team's schedule has been altered - St. Augustine.

The Hermits were set to host Nottingham in a postseason pod game on Friday night, with the winner facing the winner of the Hammonton and Williamstown game next weekend.

St. Augustine will look to fill that spot in their schedule.
