ESPN's Ed Werder reported earlier today that Vick believes he's the "victim of politics" in Philadelphia, and that he could have played in last week's loss.

Today he joined the Sports Bash and said he hasn't made this story up and that it's true regardless of what the Eagles are saying.

On Thursday it was reported by FOX Philadelphia, that Vick's concussion symptoms are "getting worse."  Today however, Yahoo's Jason Cole has been told by two sources that Michael Vick's (concussion) condition is improving this week and then Werder told us ick believes he's the "victim of politics."

Here is Mike Vick's statement on the issue:

“I want to thank my fans for the thousands of well wishes. I also appreciate the support of the entire Eagles organization. I feel strong and healthy. As a professional athlete, I want to play in every game but the NFL has a specific protocol to protect players. My focus is to complete this process successfully, so I can rejoin my team on the field.”

We haven't heard the last of this issue, which is turning into the latest soap opera in Philadelphia.
