New Sea Isle City Bakery Item Has Jason Kelce’s Attention

There is something special about walking into a local bakery with those tantalizing scents of the different goods that came out of the oven that morning. Where nostalgia meets the reality of fresh baked goods can be found inside of a small business like you would find at a locally owned bakery.

No matter where you are from, one of the highlights of the summertime at the Jersey Shore is the small businesses that are only open seasonally. Even for a Philadelphia Eagles Legend like Jason Kelce, all of us have favorite places to visit each summer.

While you have seen Jason Kelce each summer at The Ocean Drive Bar raising money for charity, or visitng Mike's Seafood on the bay in Sea Isle City, there is a new item at the Jersey Shore that he is excited about this summer.

Ahead of their 5-year anniversary celebration, Shorebreak Cafe has been creating fun, new baked goods since moving to their current location at 8301 Landis Avenue a couple of summers ago. One of the unique items you will find at Shorebreak Cafe is homemade Poptarts.

The latest creation from Shorebreak Cafe's Dana Iannelli has gotten Jason Kelce's attention: The Buffa-Pop made with Hank Sauce Original Hot Sauce. An infrequent user of social media, this new bakery item compelled Kelce to comment on Instagram:

"Oh my, Dana, butter my biscuit, you’re a mad scientist"

I gotta say that of all the food items I have put Hank Sauce on, I would have never thought to put it on pastry. But Jason Kelce is right, this is Mad Scientist level creativity, and who wouldn't want to have some Buffa-Pop for a snack.

This new bakery item is part of Shorebreak Cafe's celebration for their 5-year anniversary coming up Saturday, July 11th. Here are details about the "Birthday Bash Festivities" from a press release:

"The cafe will display a party atmosphere with fun music, festive birthday decor, special birthday treats with fun seasonal flavors, and a refreshing lemonade bar. Additional highlights of the celebration include local vendors and fun between the hours of 9am and noon. Shorebreak Cafe will provide complimentary face painting and a balloon artist, and a Hat Bar, Charm Bar, and Braid Bar experience will be available for purchase. A Shorebreak raffle will feature exclusive prizes and giveaways."
