New Coffee Shop Set to Energize South Jersey This Summer
Historically, there are few activities that are more tied to American culture than drinking coffee. In the aftermath of the Boston Tea Party in 1773, many American Colonists and United States Founding Fathers started drinking coffee as a protest against the British Tea Tax.
Over the following decades, coffee shops became social hubs in early America and an alternative meeting place for people who did not consume alcohol. During the Civil War, many Union and Confederate Soldiers were more interested in consuming coffee than any other drink because it helped their focus.
Today, famous companies such as Starbucks and Dunkin generate billions of dollars in coffee sales each year. But there has been a growing trend of people who have been avoiding the big-name coffee makers over the last 15 years due to health concerns.
The controversial coffee bean roasting process and the use of dangerous ingredients by Dunkin and Starbucks have inspired customers to look for healthier options to spend their money at local coffee shops.
Studies have revealed that drinking two to three cups of coffee a day has numerous health benefits. So, starting this summer, coffee lovers who are looking for healthy alternatives to Starbucks and Dunkin will have a new spot in South Jersey to get their favorite brews.
Where Will The New Coffee Shop Be Opening In South Jersey This Summer?
After releasing a teaser trailer on Instagram earlier in March, the Crest Coffee Company in conjunction with the Alpine Lupine Branding Company has released a new preview for the soon-to-open business.
Started by Maddie Hunt along with her father Tom, Crest Coffee Company will be offering customers responsibly sourced coffee options in a modernized South Jersey Shore Town Atmosphere.
The new coffee shop will be located at 104 East Cardinal Avenue in Wildwood Crest, around the corner from Ocean Outfitters Beach Boutique.
The Crest Coffee Company's Instagram Account has stated their opening will be "early Summer 2025" and the goal is for the coffee shop to be open year-round in Wildwood Crest.
UPDATE: Crest Coffee Company has told me that they have not set a timetable for their Grand Opening yet and they hope to announce more information in the coming weeks.
