This content was produced in partnership with Bazoom Group.
There is a total of 31 athletes linked to New Jersey competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics Games, which kicked off on Friday, July 26. This ranges from basketball and soccer to unusual sports such as rock climbing and fencing.
Sports betting sites are now accepting bets for the upcoming games. As Chirag Dubey points out, the best online sports books now accept wagers on niche sports, such as table tennis. So, it may be possible to place a crypto bet on your predictions for the New Jersey athletes listed below:
Basketball
Bam Adebayo is the only New Jersey-born athlete playing in the Team USA Basketball team in Paris. Adebayo is from New Jersey and has been playing with the Miami Heat since 2017.
Kahleah Copper will be playing on the women’s team. Copper was born in Pennsylvania but studied at Rutgers and formerly played for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Athletics
Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone, born in New Brunswick, has been competing in the Olympics since she was 16. She first appeared in the 2016 Rio Olympics Games and has since become one of the biggest stars of track and field to play for Team USA.
Mclaughlin-Levrone is the 2022 World Champion and 2020 Tokyo Olympic Champion of the 400 hurdles. She has broken the 400 hurdles record a total of five times. Mclaughlin-Levrone - who is worth $2 million - last broke the record at the US Olympic Trials of June this year when she achieved a time of 50.65 seconds.
Curtis Thompson, from Trenton, will be throwing the javelin at the upcoming Olympics. He competed in this sport during the 2020 games and has won national javelin titles three times.
Other NJ-linked competitors include Salif Mane, Jaden Marchen, Sam Mattis, Keturah Orji, Keturah Orji, Cheickna Traore, Allie Wilson, and Rudy Winkler.

Rowing

In 2022, Reckford was part of the team that won the second World Rowing Cup. She is the granddaughter of Bill Spencer, a two-time biathlon olympian.
Swimming
Several swimmers are competing in the upcoming Olympics who hail from NJ, including the Morristown-born Jack Alexy. The 21-year-old currently swims for the California Golden Bears.
