
Two New Jersey Roads Make List of America’s Deadliest Summer Drives
Anyone who has lived in or vacationed in New Jersey understands that driving around the state can range from confusing to complicated to exasperating.
We already know that New Jersey is rated one of the worst driving experiences in the United States, and NJ is on the list of the Top Ten Worst States for Distracted Driving in America. Seems like everyone could be doing better as drivers around The Garden State.
The latest research reveals that two New Jersey streets made the list of the deadliest roads to drive during the summer months in the United States.
Which New Jersey Roads You Need To Be Careful Around
The research team at Angel Reyes & Associates compiled data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS). They gathered information over the last five years of fatal crashes to learn where the most dangerous roads are during the summer months.
According to a press release from On the list of the Top 30 deadliest roads to drive during the summer months in the United States, two South Jersey Roads made this dubious list:
*Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City: The three miles that function as the "main street" in Atlantic City. It's most dangerous intersection on this road is where Ohio Avenue meets Atlantic Ave, which has seen 4 Fatal Accidents during the summer months.
*County Route 655 Fries Mill Road in Gloucester County: This approximately ten-mile stretch of road has 4 Fatal Accidents during the summer months.
