New Jersey's Favorite Halloween Costume Different Than Rest Of US

One of the highlights of the Halloween season for adults and kids alike is the costumes. Whether going to a holiday party or trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, many people make serious plans for their Halloween outfits each year.

Every year, you will see the Halloween classics intermingled with trendy costumes. However, I hope we do not have to see many of the officially licensed "Hawk Tuah Girl" costumes this year.

The National Retail Federation performed a recent study of the most popular Halloween Costumes in every state and what costumes are trending nationally. According to NRF, Halloween spending is down from an all-time high of $12.2 Billion in 2023 to $11.6 Billion this year.

Overall, 5.8 million United States Adults plan to dress up as a Witch and 3 million as a Vampire. Also popular in 2024 is Batman, with 1.5 Million planning to dress up as the DC Comics Superhero.

What Is New Jersey's Most Popular Halloween In 2024?

A recent study revealed that New Jersey's favorite Superhero is different than 66 percent of Americans. So it should be no surprise that NJ Residents' most popular Halloween costume is different than the top four most popular in the rest of the United States.

New Jersey's number one Halloween Costume in 2024 is Spiderman. The best-selling Marvel Comics Character of the last 60 years, the Superhero from Queens was the main character of the third-highest-grossing domestic film in United States Cinema History.

While Spider-man is the most popular Halloween Costume for Children in 2024, only seven states join New Jersey for the famous Wallcrawler being the residents' favorite Halloween costume. Approximately 22 percent of United States Adults and Kids plan to dress up as Witch for Halloween compared to almost 16 percent who will wear either Spiderman or Batman Costumes.
