NFL Draft 2025: Williamstown’s Donovan Ezeiruaku Projected First-Round Pick
With the 2025 NFL Draft just two weeks away, teams are finalizing their big boards and evaluating top prospects. One rising name is Donovan Ezeiruaku, a standout defensive end from Boston College and Williamstown High School alum, who could hear his name in the first round. Here's why he's one of the top pass rushers in this year's class.
Donovan Ezeiruaku’s Dominant Senior Season
As a senior in 2024, Ezeiruaku was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, tying the program's single-season sack record at 16.5, which was No. 1 in the country in 2024.
A Local Star with NFL Potential
While at Williamstown, as a senior, he logged 47 tackles and two sacks in 2020. His junior season, he notched over 50 tackles with 7.5 sacks to help raise his stock and gain offers from multiple Division 1 schools, including Northern Illinois, Temple, and Vanderbilt.

Mock Draft Predictions for Ezeiruaku
Checking one of the most prominent NFL mock drafts, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr, has Ezeiruaku going to the Detroit Lions with the No. 28 pick in Round 1.
Here is what Kiper had to say about Ezeiruaku:
Ezeiruaku jumped to No. 21 in my recent Big Board update, meaning he'd not only take care of that pass rush need but also do so at value. His 65 pressures led the FBS last season, and he turned them into 16.5 sacks.
What the Experts Are Saying
One draft expert has said there is no pass rusher in this draft who has a better pass rush plan than Ezeiruaku and added that he is a really good run defender, making him one of the top pass rusher prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.
