North Shore Bar and Kitchen is Closing Permanently
The Anglesea section of North Wildwood is pouring one out for a beloved local bar after a statement from owner Ryan Fitzpatrick on social media, citing a lawsuit with the city of North Wildwood.
The North Shore Bar and Kitchen, formerly Casey's on Third, was purchased by Fitzpatrick back in 2018. The bar, located at 301 New York Avenue, closed after the summer of 2023 for renovations.
The bar never reopened after being tied up in litigation for the past two and a half years. It was put up for sale back in March, meaning locals and tourists will have one less spot to enjoy come summer 2026.
It was a great spot for live music, with good food and drinks, and was missed by many, who left messages on social media after the announcement was made.
"A Great Spot Missed": Community Reactions
So sad some people are treated so differently. North Shore was a fun bar and restaurant with so many nice people. Not a nuisance bar and the remodel would have been a great addition to North Wildwood.
We miss North Shore. It was just far enough away from the North WW crowds with great bands and food.
I’m so sorry to hear this. We enjoyed your bar and was so looking forward to the remodel. I hope things go in your favor with the lawsuit. Best of luck to you!
Ownership extended its gratitude to everyone who supported North Shore over the years.
We will keep an eye out to see if someone ends up buying this property and turns it into something new.
