Philadelphia Eagles Among Teams That Have Interest in Tyrann Mathieu
The 2021 Eagles desperately needed a cornerback to line up opposite of Darius Slay. They patiently waited until July 25th and landed veteran Steven Nelson to fill that role.
They could go down that same path this offseason to fill their safety position.
The team re-signed safety Anthony Harris to a one-year, $2.5 million contract at the start of free agency, but might be looking to bring in a new partner for him this season.
One name to keep an eye on? Three-time All-Pro safety, Tyrann Mathieu.
The Eagles are reportedly one of many teams that has interest in the 29-year old safety, per Jordan Schultz.
Per Schultz, Mathieu doesnt appear to be in much of a rush to get a deal done and could wait til after the draft and mini camps to make a decision on his next team.
Mathieu had three interceptions and six pass defenses, along with 76 tackles and a sacknin 2021 for the Chiefs.
He would be a nice addition to Jonathan Gannon's defense that had added Haason Reddick and Kyzir White to their lineup.
