Eagles, C.J. Gardner-Johnson reunite with three-year deal

Gardner-Johnson spent 2022 in Philadelphia and picked off a league-leading six passes in just 12 games.

He landed in Detroit with a one-year deal, and missed all but four games due to injury.

Eagles Sign Saquan Barkley

The Eagles have signed free agent running back Saquan Barkley with a three-year, $37.8 million contract. During his six seasons with the Giants, he totaled 7,311 total yards with 47 touchdowns.

Eagles sign free agent wide receiver DeVante Parker

Parker was stuck in a horrible New England offensive last year, catching only 33 passes for 394 yards in 2023. He gets a 1-year, $4.69 million deal, with New England picking up most of the tab per Adam Schefter.

“DeVante is thrilled and grateful to become a Philadelphia Eagle and to help this elite organization win a championship,” said Parker’s agent Jimmy Gould.

Eagles fans will remember his 2019 against them in Miami where he had 159 yards and two touchdowns.

Eagles extend Landon Dickerson

The team announced early on Monday that they have extended guard Landon Dickerson, making him the highest paid guard in NFL history.

Eagles sign free agent Bryce Huff

The team has signed free agent edge rusher Bryce Huff, who a career-high 29 tackles, 10 TFLs, and 10 sacks in 2023. Since going undrafted in 2020, he has totaled 17.5 sacks in 54 games with the Jets.

Eagles free agent running back D'Andre Swift signs with the Chicago Bears

The Eagles apparently tried to bring back free agent running back D'Andre Swift, but he ended up leaving the team to land in Chicago with the Bears with a three-year, $24 million deal.

Eagles sign free agent linebacker

The Eagles added former New Orleans Saints linebacker Zack Baun, who is mainly a special teams player. The 2020 third-round pick from Wisconsin played in all 17 last season with two sacks and made 17 tackles.

Baun gets a 1-year, $3.5M deal of guaranteed money.

Eagles Add veteran offensive lineman

The team signed offensive lineman Matt Hennessy on Tuesday, who has started 22 games with the Falcons, adding a veteran presence with starting experience to the offensive line room that lost Jason Kelce.  With Cam Jurgens likely moving over to center, which means the team needs a new starting right guard.

He has played left guard and center for the Falcons.

Hennessy was a three-year starting center at Temple and a second-team All-American in 2019.  He was a second-round pick by Atlanta in the 2020 draft.

Eagles linebacker heading to Buffalo

Morrow had 95 tackles with 12 tackles for loss, five QB hits, 3.0 sacks, and five passes defensed in his only season in Philadelphia.

Eagles lose Marcus Mariota to NFC East rival

The Eagles will be looking for a new backup quarterback in 2024, with Marcus Mariota heading to Washington on a one-year deal.

Mariota appeared in three games in 2023 as a backup to Jalen Hurts.

Eagles free agent rumors...

It was reported last week that the Eagles had an interest in a reunion with free agent safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

Gardner-Johnson spent 2022 with the Eagles, leading the league in interceptions in just 12 games.  He signed with the Lions in the offseason, missing all but four games with a torn pectoral.

Avonte Maddox is meeting with the New Orleans Saints.  The Eagles released Maddox last week and were said to be interested in bringing him back at a lower salary.

Maddox has dealt with various injuries during his Eagles tenure.
