Philadelphia Eagles Land Their Next Head Coach

The Philadelphia Eagles landed a new Head Coach on Thursday and his name is Nick Sirianni.  Sirianni, 39 years old, impressed the organization enough to pick him to lead the Eagles back to their winning ways.  Sirianni began his NFL coaching career in 2009 with the Kansas City Chiefs and then joined the San Diego Chargers in 2013 where he worked as a Wide Receivers and Quarterbacks Coach under two different Head Coaches (Mike McCoy and Anthony Lynn).  In 2018, he was hired by the Colts to be their Offensive Coordinator, a position he’s held for the last three years under his former Chargers coaching colleague Frank Reich.  Yes, Former Eagles Offensive Coordinator and current Head Coach of the Indianapolis Colts Frank Reich has endorsed Nick Sirianni by saying Nick is “very intelligent...very energetic, passionate”.

On Saturday’s The Locker Room with Billy Schweim we will discuss the hiring of Nick Sirianni and talk with former Eagles Head Coach and Legendary Super Bowl winner Dick Vermeil.  Coach Vermeil will give his reaction to the firing of Doug Pederson and perspective on the Eagles.  Scotty McKay and I will also take a look at how the Flyers will handle the injury bug as they finish up playing the Bruins in a two game series.  We will also recap Sixers versus the Celtics two game series; There is nothing better than Philadelphia beating Boston!

On Sundays Show it’s NFL Championship Sunday!  We will continue evaluating the Eagles new hire and preview the two big games deciding who will play in this year's Super Bowl.  Sunday afternoon on 97.3 FM radio, the Packers welcome the Bucs into Lambeau Field in Green Bay to decide the NFC Champion and then the nightcap has the Chiefs hosting the Bills at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.  My special guest on Sunday's The Locker Room with Billy Schweim is the 1973 Offensive Rookie of the Year who played in three NFC Championship games for the Vikings and a 5-time Pro Bowl selection Chuck Foreman. Chuck will check in to talk about the pressure of these two big games for the players.  My Fantasy Football Guru Brian Hartley will make his last appearance of the year with his picks on the day's games.
