Over the decades, Philadelphia have been known as some of the most passionate sports fan bases in the United States. For people who live outside of the tristate region, there is a perception that Philly Sports fans are very negative, but that is a false narrative.

But as Philadelphia Eagles Legend and future Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Kelce explained in his retirement press conference:

"They will love you in this city if you love it. The way you love your brother. You will be loved by going above and beyond to show you care. Because they care"

This is why professional athletes such as Darren Dalton (Phillies), Allen Iverson (Sixers), and John LeClair (Flyers) are among the most beloved in Philly Sports history. Philadelphia fans passionately support if an athlete is "their guy", to the extreme that they will continue to support those players when they move on to a new team.

This Beloved Philadelphia Sports Legend Speaking in Ocean City this Sunday

For many Philly Sports fans, Brian Dawkins is on their proverbial "Mount Rushmore" of all-time Philadelphia athletes. The Pro Football Hall of Famer played 13 seasons in Eagles green, and was arguably one of the most passionate athletes in Philadelphia Sports history.

Whether you prefer the nickname "B-Dawk" or "Weapon X", all Eagles fans are united in their love and support for Brian Dawkins. "The City of Brotherly Love" rarely agrees on much, but when it comes to this Eagles legend, you wont find any true Birds' fan who doesn't love the man who has the most Forced Fumbles (35), and most Passes Defended (132) in Franchise History.

But what makes Dawkins even more special is how he overcame issues off the field to become an inspirational force for anyone who will listen. This Sunday, the Eagles Legend will bring his passion for his faith, and living a blessed life to Ocean City Tabernacle.

On Sunday, July 12, Brian Dawkins will be the featured guest speaker at the OC Tabernacle's 830am and 1030am Worship Services. Best-selling author of the book, Blessed by the Best: My Journey to Canton and Beyond, Dawkins continues to use his platform to speak about how his faith in God carried him through the darkest times of his life to become the man he was destined to be.

Ocean City Tabernacle's 830am and 1030am services are free admission, but offerings are greatly appreciated to cover costs to host special events like this Sunday. Seating is available on a "first come, first serve" setup, so it is recommended you arrive early for either time this Sunday.
