Nickerson, has played with six NFL teams including the Jets, Seattle, Jacksonville, Green Bay, Minnesota, and Miami.  He has appeared in 25 NFL games since being drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 draft by the New York Jets out of Tulane. He made three tackles in the preseason.

With the release of Okwara, a former third-round pick, the Eagles’ eliminated a pass rusher who has some NFL experience.  The 26-year-old has nine sacks in four seasons, playing 38 games with the Lions after being drafted in the 2020 draft out of Notre Dame. He had four tackles and a sack during the 2024 preseason.

Scharping, a 2019 second-round pick, had plenty of NFL experience, playing in 79 games with two other teams, starting 33 games with the Bengals and Texans.
