Flyers vs. Rangers Preview: Holiday on Broadway
As the holiday break draws closer, the Flyers put a wrap on a four-game road trip on Saturday afternoon. They head to New York to face the Rangers for the first time this season.
The Flyers have a streak on the line. After losing in regulation to Buffalo on Thursday night, the Flyers are facing the possibility of losing back-to-back games without earning a point since Nov. 1 and 2. The Rangers have struggled at home and have lost five of the last seven games overall.
Game time is at 12:30 p.m.
Travis Konecny is on a four-game points streak and enters Saturday's game with points in nine of the last 10 games. Konecny also has goals in back-to-back games.
J.T. Miller scored the game-winning goal in overtime on Thursday night in St. Louis. Miller has three goals in his last four games.
Dan Vladar is expected to start for the Flyers. Vladar made 21 saves on 22 shots in a win over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.
Igor Shesterkin is expected to start for the Rangers. Shesterkin made 26 saves on 27 shots in a win over St. Louis on Thursday.
