Philadelphia Sports are at the center of the Sports Universe
The Philadelphia sports scene hasn't been this hot since 1980; Back then was when the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers are all playing at a high level all at the same time. The Phillies are tied 1-1 heading into tonight's game three of the NLCS in Major League Baseball Playoffs against the San Diego Padres (listen to Phillies Playoff Baseball on 97.3 FM and all games streaming on the 973 ESPN Mobile app!). The Eagles are the only undefeated team left in the NFL at 6-0 and they are on their Bye Week. The Flyers got off to a great and unexpected start to their season, winning their first three games before a close loss down in Florida. The Sixers had high expectations heading into the season and despite the fact that they lost their first two games, the team is still stacked with talent.
The coolest thing is seeing Phillies and Sixers players at the Eagles games while the Flyers, Eagles, and Sixers players at the Phillies Playoff games, the players are supporting each other. Along with the players showing up at the games, there are plenty of other celebrities attending these events like Bradley Cooper, Mike Trout, and Meek Mill. Darius Slay said in a recent postgame interview that Philadelphia is “Lit” right now and the place to be! The hype that our teams have generated is phenomenal and the stories of fans going from one game to another to be a part of all the action will be a part of local story telling for years to come.
