Pache is a right-handed hitting center fielder, who is a very good defensive outfielder and had a good spring with the A's, before being released by the team.

He hit .302/.362/.419 in 43 Cactus League at-bats. he hit .166 in 91 games last season in Oakland and is a career .156 hitter in 115 big league games with the Braves and A's.

He is also a very good defensive center fielder.

The team may use him in a platoon role in center field with left-handed swinging Brandon Marsh, who they acquired last season from the Angles.

To make room for Pache on the 40-man roster, the Phillies moved Rhys Hoskins to the 60-day IL.

Sullivan, 23, has yet to pitch above Double-A with the Phillies organization.
