Phillies, Eagles, The Locker Room On The Road Again This Weekend

The Philadelphia Phillies clinched a first-round bye in the 2024 MLB playoffs.  Red October is back for the third year as the Phillies have three more regular season games left in the 2024 regular season against the Washington Nationals this weekend.

Heading into Friday Night, the Los Angeles Dodgers have the best record in the National League and they travel to Colorado to face the Rockies in their final series of the regular season.  It will come down to the final weekend to see who gets home field advantage. 

This Sunday the Eagles fly south to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Last year in the playoffs, Eagles were humiliated by the Bucs in 32-9 rout in Tampa.  This year the Birds look to avenge last year's defeat.  The 2024 version of the Bucs are 2-1 Bucs like Philadelphia.

The Eagles never have it easy in Tampa but the Bucs defense is 28th in the NFL in Total Yards allowed.  We are waiting to see if starting Right Tackle Lane Johnson and Wide Receiver Devonta Smith will be cleared from Concussion Protocol in time to play on Sunday.  AJ Brown was back at Practice on Friday trying to ramp up for his return from a Hamstring Injury.
