The Philadelphia Phillies are now 37-31 as they head to Milwaukee to face the National League Central-leading Brewers.  The Brewers have a pretty good starting pitching rotation, as a matter of fact, the three starting pitchers the Phillies will face this weekend in Milwaukee have a combined ERA of 2.44.

The first guy the Phillies will see throws 100 MPH + on average and leads the league in strikeouts with 116, "the Miz", Jacob Misiorowski.  He’s very good, and his best pitch is his fastball.  Hopefully the Phillies can catch up to it.

The Phillies team batting average is .228 while the Brewers team average is .254. Ever since Don Mattingley took over for Rob Thompson the Phillies have only lost two series. Let’s see how the Phillies match up against the first place Brewers!

The Summer is here, and the beach is heating up, and the Beach patrols are gearing up for the season. We will continue with the Beach Patrol report brought to you by McCann Realtors of Sea Isle City and the Ocean City Beach Patrol Lifeguard Alumni Association.

The Eagles just wrapped up their mandatory mini-camp, and now have six weeks off before they have to report to training camp at the end of July.  Eagles football will be here soon enough. We will cover all the hot topics this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.

On Saturday’s show, Producer Nick Earnshaw and my intern Erin Ewing will join me in the studio.  We will recap the Phillies vs Brewers Friday night action, plus the NBA and NHL playoffs have been nothing short of spectacular, we will react to both series. In Hour Two, it’s the Beach Patrol report with former Lieutenant of the Ocean City Beach Patrol, Jack Brooks. This week, we will hear from the Chief of the Wildwood BP Steve Stocks.

On Sunday’s show, Producer Alex Berardis and my Interin Erin Ewing join me in the studio.  We will talk Phillies baseball and go “On the Mound” with former Phillies pitcher Tommy Greene brought to you by Blitz’s market of Ocean City.  Tommy gives us his thoughts on the Phillies road trip and previews Sunday’s game.  In Hour Two, Mr. Negadelphia P.J. Corda checks brought to you by the Vassar Pool service.  The Negadelphian opines on the Philly sports teams.

All that and more this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim, every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to Noon on 97.3 FM ESPN Radio South Jersey.

10 Favorite Things about Cape May County, NJ

The history of Cape May County predates the formation of the United States of America by about 100 years as it was one of the first counties established in what was originally known as the West New Jersey Provence. Cape May County's historical records go back as far as 1685 and the County was originally established in 1692. Cape May County has been a huge part of my life and that of my family's for decades, so I wanted to share with you my favorite aspects of the southern most County in the state of New Jersey.
