The Philadelphia have a date in a National League Division Series with a very familiar opponent.

After their two-game NL Wild Card sweep of the Miami Marlins, the Phillies earned a matchup against the NL East champions, the Atlanta Braves, for the second straight year. The Mariners will get a couple of days to prepare before the best-of-five series starts Saturday at Atlanta’s Truist Park.

The start times for all five of the potential NLDS games are not yet set, but for now, you can at least plan your days around the first two games.

A quick look at the Phillies vs Braves matchup

The Phillies went 90-72 in the regular season to take the top NL Wild Card Spot in the postseason, while Atlanta went 104-58, which was the best record in all of baseball and 14 games ahead of Philadelphia for the NL East title.

During the regular season, the Phillies went 5-8 against the Braves. Philadelphia did win two of three down in Atlanta during the final month of the season and the Braves took three of four in Philadelphia in early September.

One of the NL Cy Young Award favorites, Spencer Strider, will start Game 1 for Atlanta, while the Phillies are expected to counter with left-hander Ranger Suarez on the mound.
