Before today's game with the Houston Astros, the Philadelphia Phillies placed outfielder Christian Pache on the 10-day injured list.

He has a meniscus tear in his right knee.

Pache had to be removed from Friday's game against the Astros after he slipped and fell while taking a lead off from second base.

Replacing him on the roster will be outfielder Dalton Guthrie

After a slow start, Pache has started to look much more comfortable at the plate and his hitting. 360 with his first home run of the season on Saturday.

The team traded for the former top prospect before the start of the regular seaaon with the Oakland A's.

He has been one of thw top defensive outfielders in the game, but was starting to ahow promise at the plate.

Guthrie, a right-handed bat, played 14 games for the team last season.
