The Phillies need to win. Bottom line. They can't falter if they're going to sneak into a wild card spot. Which is why last night was not a good time for Kyle Kendrick and the Phils to stumble.

Kendrick gave up four runs in as many innings while the bats went cold, and the Phillies fell 5-0 to the downright terrible Houston Astros. It was the team's second loss in three games.

Roy Halladay will take the hill for the Phillies as the look to get this train back on track.

Because St. Louis lost to the Dodgers, the Phillies remain 3 games out of the second wild card, but L.A. jumped over the Cardinals and now sits in that wild card spot.
