Phillies’ Ranger Suárez, Braves’ Spencer Strider pegged for NLDS Game 4
Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson announced left-hander Ranger Suárez will start Game 4 of the National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves on Thursday.
Right-hander Spencer Strider will get the nod for Atlanta at Citizens Bank Park, the Braves announced on Wednesday.
Philadelphia is one game away from advancing to the NL Championship Series for the first second-straight year. Suárez and Strider faced off in Game 1 with the Phillies winning 1-0. Suárez allowed just one hit and one walk in 3.2 innings of shutout baseball. Strider went seven strong innings, surrendering only two runs (one earned) and five hits to take the loss.
Strider pitched in Game 3 of the 2022 NLDS in Philadelphia, going 2.1 innings, giving up three hits and five runs. He faced just 12 batters before being pulled from the game in a 9-1 Braves loss.
Game 4 will be live at Citizens Bank Park and can be heard on 97.3 ESPN with Jon "Boog" Sciambi and Doug Glanville calling all the action.
