Popular South Jersey Mexican Restaurant Opening New Location in Wildwood
In the United States, there are over 80,000 Restaurants that specialize in Mexican Cuisine, making it the third most popular cuisine in America.
According to Pew Research, one out of every 10 Restaurants in the United States serves Mexican Food, and Consumer Research says that 86 percent of Americans like mainstream Mexican Cuisine offerings such as Tacos and Burritos.
So it should be no surprise that one New Jersey Mexican Eatery will be opening a new location later in 2025 at a location famous to vacationers and locals who frequent The Wildwoods.
Popular South Jersey Mexican Restaurant Opening New Location
In just a few years, Taqueria El Azteca has become one of Wildwood's most popular places to eat. They have built a loyal and strong following, so much so that they will be opening a second location in one of South Jersey's most famous Shore Towns.
After 13 years, The Wild Burrito on Ocean Avenue closed in September 2024. Within walking distance of the beach, the now-closed restaurant was popular with beachgoers who wanted a different food option than the usual eateries on the Wildwood Boardwalk.
There is no grand opening date yet, but we do know that Taqueria El Azteca will be opening their second location at the corner of Ocean Avenue and E. Youngs Ave where The Wild Burrito used to be.
Even though some vacationers and locals to The Wildwoods are disappointed that The Wild Burrito has closed, the good news is that another local small business owner is going to fill the void. Also, Mexican Cuisine will soon return for customers within walking distance of the Boardwalk and Beach in Wildwood.
