That news came Thursday afternoon from Mike Kaye from Pro Football Network..

Herbig, 23, was undrafted free agent by Philadelphia in 2019, when current Jets general manager Joe Douglas was the Eagles’ vice president of player personnel when Herbig signed with Philadelphia with Philadelphia. He spent two seasons with the Eagles, moving in and out of the starting lineup and playing well over the 17 starts and 33 games he appeared.

Herbig became expendable when the Eagles added Cam Jurgens in the second-round of the draft and with lots of depth with Isaac Seumalo, Jack Driscoll and Sua Opeta.

Herbig was tendered as a restricted free agent with a salary of $2.433 million, but the Eagles decided to allow him to find another opportunity and he quickly did in New York with the Jets.
