Rocky Fans Rejoice: Mighty Mick’s Gym Opens as a Brewery

Mighty Mick's Gym is the fictional gym at 2147 N Front Street in Philadelphia that was used in the movie Rocky.

In the movie, the fictional character Mickey Goldmill owned the gym until his death. Goldmill trained Rocky Balboa at the gym, who later ran the gym in a later to train Tommy Gunn, who was played by boxer Tommy Morrison.

It now has a new tenant.

The building, which is located in the Kensington section of Philadelphia will now be a brewery, Lost Time Brewing Company, had its grand opening on Friday, Nov 8, and is now open for business.

The brewery has been doing pop-ups throughout Philadelphia, and will now use the former location of Mighty Mick's as a retail spot and tasting room. they have many beers that are currently available at bars throughout the Philadelphia region.

This definitely seems like a place to take a ride to see and try, I have heard great things about their beers, and adding the history of being in Mighty Mick's adds something to the experience of checking out a brewery.
