For the second straight week, the Philadelphia Eagles have a player honored by the NFL for their performance in the team's most recent win.  After Week One of the season, Eagles Kicker Jake Elliott was selected as the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week and now Philadelphia gets another receiving a Player of the Week award.

Thanks to his 175 Rushing Yards in the Eagles win over the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football, D'Andre Swift has been honored as the NFC Player of the Week. In his first start of the 2023 NFL season, Swift became the first Eagles Running Back to rush for at least 175 yards since LeSean McCoy in Week 14 of the 2013 NFL season (217 Rushing Yards versus the Detroit Lions). This is the first time an Eagles Running Back has won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week since Boston Scott received the honor after Week 17 of the 2019 season (138 Total Yards and Three Touchdowns versus the New York Giants).

After the first two games of the NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles offense is fifth in the NFL in scoring (29.5 Points Per Game) and the second-best Rushing Offense in the league (356 Team Rushing Yards). With more than a week off between games, I am interested to see if the Eagles continue to lean on the Running Attack or if they have found ways to jump-start their erratic Passing game. Swift is also a weapon for the passing game, averaging 7.5 Yards per Reception with 160 Catches in his four-year NFL career.

Will the Eagles continue to utilize all of D'Andre Swift's skills with their offense or will they go back to Kenneth Gainwell as the number one Running Back when he returns from injury? I know many Eagles fans who want to see more of the Philadelphia-born-and-raised Swift and less of Gainwell moving forward.
