
Popular Caribbean Eatery Taking Over Former Ruby Tuesday in Atlantic City
The Ruby Tuesday restaurant at the Tanger Outlets in Atlantic City has sat vacant at 2100 Atlantic Avenue. It was one of hundreds that have shut down around the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
However it is set to have a new tenant in 2026.
Simpson Restaurant & Sports Bar Finds New Home in Atlantic City
Simpson Restaurant & Sports Bar, which was formally located at the Playgrouind Pier, will be bringing its vibrant Caribbean and Soul Food cuisine to the former Ruby Tuesday's location at the Tanger Outlets in the heart of Atlantic City, directly in front of Caesers.
The restaurant made the announcement on their website.
Opening Date Set for January 2026
Chef Wenford "Patrick" Simpson opned The Simpsons in 2024 at the ACX1 Studios (formally the Playground Pier), but closed the restaurant in August 17 of this summer. The new spot is scheduled to open on January 6, 2026, right after the new year.

The are known for their famous oxtail, jerk chicken, cod fish fritters, and rasta pasta, but here is a look at their full menu.
In addition to Atlantic City, The Simpsons has locations in Brooklyn and another location in Miam is coming soon.
I look forward to trying out this spot, which I wasn't aware was in the city at its previous location, this new spot should be a nice boost for The Simpson.
