While Eagles and Flyers are bad, Sixers continue to win

The Eagles, losers of their last five games, can’t seem to play with intensity, discipline or pride. The Birds were embarrassed last Monday Night on National TV by the arch enemy Dallas Cowboys. A lack of discipline and toughness doomed the Eagles in Monday night's 38-21 loss to their NFC East rivals.

The offense played well under the circumstances of having several starters out due to injuries. The defense was the problem. The Eagles played without heart! The coaching staff hasn’t done anything to inspire the players to play hard with passion and intensity. The Eagles play the Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football this week.

The Flyers are not a good hockey team right now. After losing to the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night 5-2, the Flyers are the worst team in the NHL, having won only three of their first 13 games into the season. The Flyers are not playing “Team Hockey", they look like a group of guys not playing for the crest on the front of their jersey instead of the name on the back of it!!! Let that sink in!!!

Finally, the Philadelphia 76ers are a good team! The All-Star Sixers lineup has a 4-1 record but still haven’t played their best basketball yet. As soon as this team gets more familiar with each other on the court, they will be formidable opponents to play all year long. The Sixers welcome the defending NBA Champion New York Knicks Friday night in South Philly. We will cover all the hot topics this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.
