Philadelphia entered the playoffs as the No. 4 seed, Boston, the No. 2 seed with face third-seeded Milwaukee in the other Eastern Conference semi.

The Sixers scraped out the series victory over the Raptors despite losing games four and five, after winning the first three games.

Point guard James Harden picked up the slack, scoring 22 points and dishing out 15 assists. Tyrese Maxey after a couple of down games, returned with 25 points, eight assists in 44 minutes in Thursday’s Game 6.

The big game came from the big man, Joel Embiid led the way with 33 points and 10 rebounds, and looked more like the MVP version that he was earlier in the series, after suffering a torn ligament in his right thumb.

In the regular season, the Sixers and Heat split the season series 2-2.
