Somers Point Wawa Announces Grand Reopening Date After Major Renovations
Fans of the Wawa at 102 New Road, near the intersection of Ocean Heights Ave in Somers Point, can rejoice.
The store, which has been undergoing renovations since May 11, is set to reopen on Friday, June 12, at 6 a.m., and rumors are that the coffee will be fresh and hot.
The gas station portion of the Wawa has been open this entire time, but now, when you walk in, expect to see a better Wawa experience than before.
What to Expect at the Upgraded Somers Point Wawa Reopening
To celebrate the reopening, the Wawa will offer free coffee that entire weekend, with self-serve drinks for 99-cents, $4 shortis, and $3 smoothies.
I stop in this Wawa many times over the years on my way to the Somers Point baseball fields to grab my sunflower seeds and bold coffee with Irish Cream creamer.

A Jersey Shore Staple Goes National
Wawa has been one of the iconic stops at the Jersey Shore and throughout the Delaware Valley. Wawa stores are now popping up in Southern states like Florida, and I recently stopped into one during my stay in Virginia Beach.
Perks of the Wawa App
The Virginia Beach one, I used my Wawa app and was able to get a 15-cent discount per gallon on gas. While that is not eligible here in New Jersey, hey, the coffee is hot and fresh!
I currently have 530 points in my Wawa app, which offers all sorts of rewards anytime you stop in one of their Wawa locations.
The great news is that your morning routine can officially return to normal. Mark your calendars for June 12, when the New Road location fully welcomes back everyone who needs more than just a quick fill-up at the pump.
