With the Philadelphia Eagles down Avonte Maddox for the rest of the season, a big topic of conversation has been who will replace him in the slot.

Well, it seems, at least for Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz, it will be James Bradberry.

Per Schultz, you can expect to see 'Bradberry frequently matched up with Tampa’s dynamic slot receiver Chris Godwin. on Monday Night. Another option could be Mario Goodrich, but it looks like Bradberry will be inside with Josh Jobe likely to be lined up on the outside.

"I was really impressed with how he was taking on that role, and not really sacrificing his corner role, because that's his role," Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai stated last week. "He's our corner. But he was learning that, and I think it helps him and really everybody in terms of the way we teach it. Helps everybody learn all 11 and why we're doing certain things from a coverage standpoint because we’re all 11 as one."

Bradberry returns to the Eagles defensive lineup after missing the Eagles Week 2 game against the Vikings with a concussion.

There have been some whispers of Bradberry playing in the slot after he spent some time working at the position during Training Camp this summer.

Something to keep an eye on will be whether, this is a long-term move, or just based on the matchup with Tampa.
