This South Jersey Donut Shop Was Just Named One of the Best in America

A South Jersey Donut shop earns a spot on America’s “Best Of” List.

USA Today and its well‑known 10Best just dropped its list of the best donut shops in America, with a South Jersey shop earning the No. 2 spot on the list. Recently, they chose their favorite donut shop in every state in the country, and their pick for New Jersey isn't too far from our Northfield studios.

South Jersey has so many places to get great donuts, including traditional bakeries and innovative shops, all across Atlantic and Cape May counties.

From Day One to National Fame

A new kid on the donut block, Happy Place Homemade, is a locally owned and family-operated doughnut, ice cream, and coffee spot at 690 Stokes Road in Medford that has become a South Jersey favorite with both indoor seating and a drive-thru window.

The unique part about this recognition is that the business opened its doors on Jan. 23, 2026, so it's not even one year old and is already winning people over in a very competitive spot.

Happy Place Homemade in Medford, New Jersey, lives up to its cheerful name with a colorful selection of freshly made donuts and sweet treats. The shop offers classic favorites alongside creative flavors and playful toppings, all prepared with a homemade touch. Friendly service and a fun, nostalgic atmosphere make it a spot where visitors can indulge their sweet tooth and linger awhile.
