South Jersey to Welcome Trendy New Boutique Fitness Clubs
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the Fitness and Healthcare Industries are among the fastest-growing employment sectors in the United States.
In the aftermath of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, many fitness clubs and health facilities closed permanently due to financial constraints. $13.9 billion of revenue was lost from March to August in 2020.
With a projected 14 percent employment growth in the United States for the fitness industry, New Jersey has received good news for 2025. New fitness centers have opened in Woodbury Heights and Blackwood, while the old gym in Sea Isle City is being rebuilt.
Now, a nationwide fitness franchise is expanding to the Philadelphia region and will bring new opportunities to New Jersey residents for a different type of Health and Fitness.
Miami-Based Fitness Franchise Expanding to New Jersey and Philadelphia
JETSET Pilates has announced that they have signed a 12-unit agreement as part of their expansion to target the Philadelphia region.
Currently, JETSET Pilates has two fitness clubs open in New York City and one in Florham Park, New Jersey. They are opening locations in Montclair and Wayne soon, but none yet in the Philadelphia or South Jersey areas.
This new agreement lays the groundwork for clubs to open in Cherry Hill and Marlton, giving South Jersey its first JETSET Pilates locations. The other Philadelphia area locations that will be opening are in Ardmore, Northern Liberties, Rittenhouse Square, King of Prussia, and West Chester.
This boutique-style fitness club was first founded in 2010 but only started franchising in 2022. The growing popularity of Pilates is because it is a low-impact exercise program that is less strenuous than other holistic fitness options such as Yoga.
Maybe we need more fitness clubs and health facilities in South Jersey because none of the Healthiest Counties in New Jersey are located down here:
