Washburn Axed

Mike and Todd open up today's show talking about the firing of defensive line coach Jim Washburn early this morning. In his press conference today, Andy Reid named Nick Foles the permanent starting QB. Mike Gill seems to think that these firings are being made by Reid to "save his job," while Todd Ranck thinks that Reid is just a puppet at this point.

Barrett Brooks

Former Eagles OL Barrett Brooks called in to talk about the Washburn firing and the Eagles Sunday night loss in Dallas. Brooks still sees Andy Reid being fired at the end of season because the fans of team will stop showing up to games, etc. Brooks also said that Wasburn should have been fired long ago, even before Juan Castillo.

McCoy and Brown

With the emergence of Bryce Brown, although the fumbles remain a problem, Mike Gill ponders the fact of the Eagles possibly taking calls on trading LeSean McCoy. Gill says that the running back position is the easiest to fill and to give them a second, big money contract is a mistake.

Gary Cobb

Former Eagles LB and current post game host for Eagles Radio Network called in here. Cobb said that the Washburn firing should have happened months ago and his personality was too strong for Reid and that Andy Reid should have stepped in and controlled it. Cobb also went over how disgusted he is with the defensive effort from the Eagles last night.
