New Jersey Among States Turning on iPhone 17 – Will You Switch to Android?
Hey, New Jersey, are you ready to make the switch to the Android Phone?
You know the annoying phone that iPhone users always complain about with the green bubble in the group chat. The phone that makes the video a little grainy when everyone in the group is using an iPhone, except the one Android user (which is me).
Well, it seems at least some New Jersey residents might be willing to consider it, according to a new study, New Jersey is the sixth most negative state toward the new iPhone 17, with a staggering 63% of all posts about the new phone being negative.
Study Reveals Which States Dislike iPhone the Most
Rank | State | Total Social Media Posts | Negative Posts(%) |
1 | Alabama | 120 | 80 |
2 | Michigan | 345 | 71 |
3 | South Carolina | 113 | 67 |
4 | Ohio | 498 | 66 |
5 | Missouri | 189 | 64 |
6 | New Jersey | 454 | 63 |
7 | Pennsylvania | 566 | 60 |
8 | Colorado | 155 | 59 |
9 | Washington | 255 | 56 |
10 | Louisiana | 173 | 55 |
The new iPhone 17 is supposed to offer Apple fans better cameras (welcome to the Android world, which has a far superior camera), improved performance with the A19 chip, and faster Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The Rising Cost of Apple’s New Phones
However, the price of the new phone has people angry:
| iPhone Model | Price (USD) |
| iPhone 17 Pro Max | 1549.50 |
| iPhone 17 Pro | 1299.00 |
| iPhone Air | 1199.00 |
| iPhone 17 | 899.00 |
I am an Android user and have never had an iPhone, so while I can't really talk about the differences, I can say I really like my Android and can't see myself ever making the switch.
One of the reasons I haven't considered making the change is that I don't use a Mac for my laptop; I use a Google Chromebook for pretty much everything I do and I never hear the stories of Android causing problems with their phones right when a new one is set to come out, essentially trying to force you to upgrade to a new one.
iPhone vs. Android: What Really Matters
When I asked Chat GPT the differences between iPhone and Android, it gave me plenty of things, but this was what it came down to to make a decision on one over the other.
Get an iPhone if you want simplicity, smooth updates, and tight integration with Apple products.
Go Android if you want more choice, customization, hardware variety, or better value at different price points.
I do, however, enjoy being the guy in the chat who is the leader, not the follower. So I will continue to be the green bubble in the chat.
