Anaheim Ducks

It was far from a perfect game, but with the help of great goaltending and some timely scoring in the second and third periods, the Flyers were able to snap a three-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center.

The Flyers have a 10-2-4 record on home ice and three of the next four games will be there, allowing them a chance to put an end to the losing streak and return to the win column. Their first chance is on Tuesday night when they face the Anaheim Ducks.

The Flyers handled the struggling Ducks with four first-period goals and never looked back, picking up their 10th win in the last 12 games to keep the line moving.

For eight games on the season, the Flyers have been a competitive group. But on Tuesday night, they turned in their first true clunker of the season in a 6-2 drubbing by the Anaheim Ducks.

The Flyers acquired goalie Dustin Tokarski from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for future considerations. Tokarski has been assigned to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. In addition, the Phantoms traded goalie Leland Irving to the San Diego Gulls for future considerations.

William Karlsson and Jakob Silfverberg each scored in the shootout to lift theAnaheim Ducks to a 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night.
