One day after officially being named a special assistant to the general manager, Danny Briere met with the media on Wednesday morning to discuss the new role and how he factors into those plans.

The Flyers announced on Tuesday afternoon that Danny Briere has been named a special assistant to the general manager.

Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher addressed the media via a conference call for the first time since the NHL suspended play amid the Coronavirus pandemic and touched on a number of topics from the status of players to recent prospect signings to the possibility of a return to play.
