The Flyers complete their first of 17 back-to-backs this season, as they return to the ice following Tuesday's 3-1 loss in Calgary to close out a three-game Western Canada road trip against the Edmonton Oilers.
Saturday's game was certainly not be design, but the Flyers stayed with the game and found a way to rally back and win in overtime, defeating the Oilers, 5-4, in overtime. It has them up to seven straight wins and surging.
Saturday was another one of those close one-goal games that came down to the very end. But it was a late goal by Wayne Simmonds and some strong defensive for the entire final period that proved to be the difference in the Flyers 2-1 win over the Oilers.
