The Flyers are right back on the ice on Saturday night, looking to snap a six-game losing streak against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Flyers lost for the fourth straight game and sixth time in the last seven games, as the Blue Jackets rallied for a 3-2 shootout win.

The 2023-24 season opened with a Flyers win over the Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 4-2 on Thursday night.

The Blue Jackets took the lead for good with 6:44 remaining in the third, as Elvis Merzlikins made 47 saves in dealing the Flyers a 4-2 loss on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center. 

The Flyers technically have the 14th overall pick in Friday’s first round of the NHL Draft. However, they will make the 13th selection. While it is not a Top 10 pick, a year of uncertainty, unpredictability and limited viewings of prospects could certainly leave some finds at the middle of the first round.

Following the NHL Draft Lottery on Wednesday night, the Flyers will have the 13th overall pick at the NHL Draft on July 23.
