The Blues were able to outlast the Flyers on Tuesday night, 4-2, resulting in the Flyers fourth straight defeat.

After trailing by three goals early in the third, the Flyers rallied to pull to within one, falling short and suffering their fourth straight loss, 5-3, to Vegas at Wells Fargo Center.

A shorthanded goal by Nick Deslauriers and another by Noah Cates pushed the Flyers ahead. They locked things down on defense the rest of the way. It all led to a 3-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

The Bruins continued rolling, improving their NHL-leading record to 34-5-4 with a 6-0 decision over the Flyers on Monday afternoon.

Samuel Ersson allowed a goal on the first shot he faced in his NHL career and was eventually pulled after allowing five goals. In relief, Carter Hart was back in goal, until he was forced to exit with an injury, sending Ersson back in during a whirlwind 6-5 loss for the Flyers to the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night.

Less than two minutes into the third period, a miscommunication changed the outlook, allowing the Devils to get ahead and grab the lead and never look back. The Flyers continued to put forth the effort, but fell short in a 3-2 loss to the Devils on Saturday night at Wells Fargo Center.

A pair of comeback attempts were not completed, as the Columbus Blue Jackets scored on a 3-on-1 in overtime to hand the Flyers a 5-4 loss on Tuesday night.

The Flyers scored three goals in the second period and never looked back, as Felix Sandstrom secured his first NHL win in goal in a 5-1 victory over the Blues on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center.

After making 17 saves on 19 shots in the first period, Hart made another 31 saves in the final two periods to close out a 4-3 win over the Panthers, setting a career-high with 48 saves on the night.

The Flyers' three-game winning streak to start the season was snapped at the hands of the Panthers, who scored two goals in the third period to claim a 4-3 decision on Wednesday night.
