For the second straight game, Morgan Frost was a presence, scoring another goal and assisting on the game-winning goal in the Flyers 5-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. That helped snap the Flyers four-game losing streak and get them back into the win column.
Morgan Frost scored a shorthanded goal to give the Flyers the lead in the second, then with the game tied again in the third, set up Claude Giroux for his second goal of the game and the eventual game-winner in a 5-3 Flyers win over the Hurricanes.
Through two periods, the Flyers were somehow alive in the game because of Carter Hart's play. When the team scored three goals in the third period to secure a 4-1 win over the Hurricanes, it was a justified win for the netminder, who appeared to be back to the form that has his potential so sky high.
The draft still marks an important offseason event for the Flyers. But this year, it is different. It is Chuck Fletcher’s first draft as GM of the Flyers. And that means a new approach to the draft for the Flyers.
