The Houston Texans haven't hired their next head coach, but it will not be Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator, Jonathan Gannon.

Gannon had been reported to have been in the running for the job, but according to veteran NFL reporter, Josina Anderson, the Texans informed Gannon that he will not be hired as their next head coach.

The move will keep Gannon in Philadelphia for now, as the Houston Texans will decide between former Eagles quarterback Josh McCown, former Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores and current defensive coordinator Lovie Smith for their vacancy.

With Gannon back, you can be assured if the Eagles defense has a solid season that his name will come up again in next years hiring cycle.

He interviewed for three jobs this offseason, Denver, Minnesota and Houston.
