The Flyers are in disarray while the Sixers continue road trip
On the opposite end of the Philadelphia Sports spectrum from the Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers (all teams who had made the playoffs recent) is a Flyers organization that is in disarray with a roster devoid of talent and their General Manager seeming to not have any real direction or plan. GM Chuck Fletcher, now in his fifth year on the job, is looking at back-to-back losing seasons, the last time the Orange and Black did that was 1992-94. The Flyers are 5-6-3 in their last 14 home games and this current state of the organization is a far cry from what they used to be in decades past.
Philadelphia use to be the city that opposing teams and fans hated coming to with Philly fans standing behind some of the best players in the league. A once proud organization is now reduced to a laughing stock and what’s WORSE is on Thursday night, the New York Rangers fans invaded the Wells Fargo Center and humiliated the Flyers in their own building. When the newly acquired Rangers Forward Vladimir Tarasenko scored for the Rangers in Overtime, the building erupted! The Wells Fargo Center turned into Madison Square Garden in New York. What a disgrace! I have never seen the Flyers home ice advantage flipped like that and you would NEVER see Eagles fans take over the Linc! We will examine where everything went wrong with the Flyers organization this weekend!
